The WoW millionaire
If you are already playing World of warcraft, or you have intentions to start playing, this report might give you the edge on the widely sophisticated economics that exists in World of warcraft. (we'll call it wow from now on)

To those who do not know wow yet
WoW is a Mmorpg (massive multiplayer online roleplaying game), not a real-time strategy game. As with other Mmorpgs, population control a character avatar within a persistent game world, exploring the landscape, fighting monsters, performing quests, building skills, and interacting with Npcs, as well as other players.
The game rewards success with in-game money, items, perceive and reputation, all of which in turn allow players to enhance their skill and power. Players can level up their characters from level one to level 60, level 70 if they have The Burning quest expansion.
Upon issue of the Wrath of the Lich King expansion (coming in the end of this year), players will be able to attain level 80 after purchasing the expansion. In addition, players may opt to take part in battles against other players of an enemy faction, in PvP battlegrounds or in general world zones field to the rules in place on the particular server. Duels can also be fought in the middle of members of the same or opposing factions, although these do not contribute tangible rewards.
Many players also choose to join guilds. Short-term parties and raid groups can be formed to escort raids against enemy territories and instances.
Spam problems
If you're already a player, you might have encountered the problem known as "gold seller spam".
After Blizzard started offering free trial gameplay accounts, players started receiving expanding numbers of spam sent by bots in the virtual mailboxes of their characters, advertising virtual gold, honor, and perceive selling services. One study shows that this problem is particularly prevalent on the European realms. In patch 2.1, Blizzard responded to this by adding added anti-spam mechanics together with whisper throttling, and the report spam function. Additionally, trial accounts are prevented from speaking in the social chat channels (although they may speak to players within range or whisper to other players that have first whispered them), participating in in-game trades, using the Auction House and the mail feature, and any other limitations. Though this has drastically reduced the estimate of spamming incidents, many offenders still endeavor to get attentiveness in the more populous regions in the game, such as major cities.
A lot of population do chose to as a matter of fact spend real life money to buy virtual gold for ingame use. This is of course a lot easier than running colse to in the world, trying to luckily find something worth a lot of gold for other players. This is time consuming, and a lot of the time, demoralizing.
I had the same problem. I wanted to buy my epic mount (a big fast flying bat!), but I never got colse to to it buy running colse to aimlessly and confused. I used all my money on food, repairs and materials for development new equipment etc.
Then one day I stumbled upon a site made by a wow player. He was claiming to have more than 1 million gold pieces on his account!
At first I didn't believe him, but as I watched his movie and read some of his thoughts, I said to myself; "hey, why not give it a go?"
So, I went to his site, and got a hold of his compendium (you can read more about it by following the link at the bottom of this article). The compendium itself is a very detailed piece of work, with illustrations and tested theories.
It gives you a good idea on how to buy and sell items from the auctions house, and how to sell it back to players with a profit. It also shows you which items to craft, to get a maximum profit
After using the ideas and the plans from the compendium for 14-15 days, I could already see a fast rise of cash in the good 'ol money locker! And within a month, I had already made more than 20.000 gold pieces!! And the best part is that I never used more time on this than I used before getting the compendium.
It simply showed me how to maximize the outcome of my playtime!
So, if you're already playing world of warcraft, or planning to, I highly propose you to take a look, and see for yourself. It helped me, so it will help you to!
